Communication is a decision.
And decisions demand judgment, accountability and time.
Pallavra is an independent, family-owned Communication Advisory with operations in Belo Horizonte and Porto. For nearly a century, across three generations, we have supported organisations in making careful decisions about language, positioning and strategy.
Working between Brazil and Portugal expands our cultural perspective and sharpens our ability to operate in complex environments, where communication is not tactical output, but a long-term responsibility.
How we work
We work through continuity and judgment.
We build long-term relationships because time is essential to good communication decisions. It is no coincidence that many of our client partnerships span 25, 15 or even 10 years. Continuity allows us to understand each organisation in depth, learn from experience and refine decisions with greater precision and responsibility.
Trust, for us, is not a positioning statement. It is a working condition. It enables open dialogue, critical thinking and course correction — and allows us to make responsible choices, including those that are not immediate, obvious or easy.
We do not approach communication as constant output, but as a sequence of deliberate decisions made over time.
What we do
We advise organisations on communication as a decision-making process.
We support leaders and teams in defining positions, assessing context and making responsible choices about how they communicate. These decisions are translated into clear, consistent and sustainable communication — across strategy, creation and execution.
Rather than treating communication as isolated actions, we operate across planning, implementation and relationship management, ensuring alignment between purpose, context and long-term impact — for organisations and for society.
Our history
Pallavra reflects the Fontoura family’s three-generation journey in communication.
It begins in 1927 with the first printed newspaper in the interior of Minas Gerais, evolves through the graphic industry in 1972, and consolidates in 2000 with the founding of Pallavra as a communication practice.
Since then, Pallavra has expanded beyond print and beyond a single territory. Since 2019, our presence in Portugal has deepened our cultural perspective and reinforced a communication practice grounded in responsible decision-making, while remaining rooted in our origins.
